    urine test....
I, like a lot of folks in this state, have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check ?

Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though. Something has to change in this country / and the world -- and soon!

    War...
Eyes of flames, cold and unyielding.
Riding his horse of conquest he never stops.
He makes friend betray friend, guns are ablazed.

The fields are littered with the corpses.
The stars no longer shine, they are missiles.
Glory and hate, this is his battlefield.

War, he is that, this is what he was born for.
One of the four, destroying this paradise.
There is no soul, he does as he pleases.

No turning back, the battle lines are drawned.
You are either friend or foe, prepare for war.
Here he comes riding his horse, here comes the enemy.

    ....by a friend...

    just a note
Al that I have listed as friends, please do not take my last comment (related to Silent by nature) posted the wrong way. I have received several anonymous e-mails / postings on this site so I needed to be a grown up and ask the person / persons doing this to please stop. Again if you are on the list of folks that I have listed as friends please do not take offence to this.

    Thank you

    J

    Silent by nature
    Silent by nature
    always ready to listen
    to learn and go one
    somewhere else

    Eyes perceiving truth
    of the hidden message
    which is subtle
    but so strong in intend

    Hating the lies spewed
    forth by the short tempered
    who call themselves patient
only because of their enormous ego

    Thinking they are God
    born as the greatest
no one worthy to be in their presence
    egos keep getting inflated

    The more cocky they get
the more I know of their idocy
as they curse and beat others
    for their failings

Driven by a need to be superior
do anything to get their way
breaking some hearts along the way up
    only to fall short

    Using what they can
    charming whoever is gullible
    only to be use
    to fulfill their needs

    we...
    Breath, be alive
    We are of flesh
    we are of air

    Fortune and glory
    there is luck
    there is providence

    Dignity and pride
    we have our freedom
    we have our justice

    Live and learned,
we will not be whirled around
we will not be carried away

    Be human and err
    we will have desire
    we will have anger

    Searching

    The weight on your soul
    is pushing you down.
    There goes control
    and it flies around.

Is it the guilt in your mind
that forces you to your knees.
    Heart and mind intertwined
and everyone is there to appease.

    Something, someone is missing,
    and you're still reaching.
    Always been caught reminiscing,
    during the teaching.

    The emptiness is craving,
here in a brand new world.
    Are we all worth saving?
    Love will not be unfurled.

What role do we have to play?
    Are you still worthy
    or will your emotions betray
    all your faults and fears?

    Can you find your way,
when the light no longer shines?
I'll wait for you even if you stray.
There's nothing to read between the lines.

    RAGE by Dylan Thomas

DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT

Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
